Pig Roast:

This was our twelfth year having the annual pig roast over at the lake.
Saturday:
Got up early and fixed my covered dishes to take for the Saturday night fish fry.  Mid afternoon, Michelle, the boys and I went over to Dwayne's cousin, Penny's house for a 50th birthday party.  They also surprised Michelle with a small baby shower for the boys.  I just love the Elrod family, so welcoming and making you feel special.
We went back to the lake for the fish fry.  A childhood friend, Chuck Jurgensmeyer, moved back to the neighborhood.  Him, his wife, granddaughter and his Mom, Beverly Jurgensmeyer came over.  It was so good to see Bev.   I was at their house a lot during my childhood.  I ran around with her daughter, Janet.  Sadly, Janet passed away a few years ago.  Everyone had a good time and luckily, no rain!!
Sunday:
The day of the pig roast.  Once again, no rain!  Last year, it rained all three days.
April had Iva dressed real cute with a red, white and blue top and little shoes that matched.

Monday:
Dwayne went back over to the lake for cleanup day.  I went to Beverly Jurgensmeyer's for a fish fry for her birthday.  Several of the neighbors were there.  It was a nice afternoon for visiting.
Didn't do much the rest of the day.

I am grateful we had a nice rain-free Memorial Weekend.

Dwayne and I went earlier in the week to put flowers on the graves of our loved ones.  Always a bittersweet time.
