April and the kids came over so we could go to Rolla and watch the St. Pat's Parade. The highlight is getting to see Uncle Chad with his horse and buggy. It was really cold and windy and the parade was extra long. The kids got several beads and some candy.
Unfortunately, we didn't stay to see Chad. We kept looking down the street for the horses and there was just more trucks. The parade was really strung out. Sometimes there would be a whole block or more with nothing coming through. We froze out and left. We then went to McDonald's and the kids must have been real hungry as they devoured all their food. Home to see PaPa. The kids really love their PaPa.
Iva and all her beads.
April and Iva went home and Cash spent the night with us. We had to do our usual of tea party and then having a "meal" of marbles. I got the bright idea to get him some marbles. He loves them. He gets out two cake pans and puts the marbles in them. He then cooks them and we all have to sit down to eat a meal which Cash has set the table with. We have mashed potatoes and pork steak. We always have to hold hands and pray first. He's very serious about this. Afterwards, he washes the dishes by himself. He really has a good time.
He brought his Chutes n Ladders game with him and we played that a few times. It's funny as how he always wins. lol
Sunday:
Dwayne fixed chocolate chip pancakes and then him and Cash went to feed the cows. Cash got to ride in his truck a little bit but the weather was so nasty, he didn't get much driving time in.
The kids all came over for Sunday dinner. We had a good time visiting. I love these family times together. Dad (or as Cash calls him, Pa Great) always comes down and it's a good time for everyone to see and visit with him.
We had a really nice weekend and I am so grateful for these times in our lives.
