Sunset:

Genesis 1:16And God made two great lights; the greater light (the sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night, he made the stars also.”

Most people marvel at the beauty of sunrise.  Sadly, I do not often see a sunrise as I'm not an early riser.
But I do enjoy the sunsets and although the picture doesn't do it justice, the sunset last night was beautiful.  The magnificent colors portrayed enhances God's beauty in our Earth.

I am grateful for God and is promise of life everlasting.

Weekend:

Saturday we went to St. Elizabeth for Mike's brother, Randy's wedding to Elizabeth Hoeller.
It was a beautiful wedding.

Since we didn't know too many people to visit with for the whole afternoon, we left and went to April and Mike's.  I watched TV and Dwayne went to the river to hunt for mushrooms.  He did pretty good, he found twenty.
We then headed back up for the reception.  We were sitting at a table with people we didn't know and Mike's cousin, Missy came over and asked us to sit with them at their table.  I had met Missy, her Mom Dee and sister AnnaBeth last summer at April's bridal shower.  Such a nice group of people.  Mike also had three uncles sitting at the table.  We heard alot of stories on the older Holtmeyers growning up.  Missy handed us her baby, Anastyn to hold while she ate.  She is six months old and quite a little beauty. (like her Mom)  We did pretty good with her until she got tired and nothing doing but she then wanted her Mom.
Argyle Catering did the meal and once again they did a great job.  We stayed for the dance and sat with Mike's Mom, Dad, Grandma and a couple aunts along with April.  We had a great day.

On our way home, we stopped in Vienna and picked up Desmon.  He hadn't been over to the house in awhile.

Sunday:

Sunday morning, Dwayne fixes scrambled eggs, ham and toast.  A good breakfast.
Dwayne and Desmon then set out to go mushroom hunting.  This brings about the same excitement as deer hunting.  Must be a guy thing.
I went to church and spent the afternoon catching up around the house.
Mid-afternoon, Dwayne and Desmon came in.  They had only found one mushroom.
We then went to Road Kill Grill for a late lunch.

Overall, we had a nice relaxing weekend visiting with new family and friends.

I am grateful for our extended St. Elizabeth family and the opportunity to help guide a little boy who sometimes gets lost in the shuffle of life.

Kristin:

Today is my niece, Kristin's 32nd birthday.  She was born just three weeks after Todd.
Krissi is a bubbly person with a wonderful personality.  She is a single Mom of two little boys.
She makes the most of it as she is a very caring mother.  She is constantly cooking with the boys, patiently teaching them to make cookies and other desserts.  Love you Kristin.

I am grateful for my second born niece's birthday.

Bradley:

I love to hear the cute little stories kids say and the posts from my great nephew, Bradley"s Mom, Melinda make my day.
"He made me change his shirt this morning bc he didn't want to wear pink! Lol"

Ha!
No cissy colors for him!  I think he looked cute in pink myself.  But he's almost five and pink is just not a cool boy color for five year olds.

"Sleeping with the bear Aunt Judy made for him and Grandpa Great drew a horse picture on.
He sleeps with it every night and loves to talk about how Grandpa Great draws pictures for him."

I enjoyed my nieces and nephews as they were growing up but the great nieces and nephews really hold a special place in my heart.  They've all been more like grandchildren to us.  Love each and every one of them.

I am grateful for extended family and the visits; pictures, stories and precious moments in life they share.
